Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. In the last decade she has been working on film and television. The actress has won numerous awards including sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Born and grew up at home in New York New York. Her mother split with her father at around five. She and her younger sister moved into St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school when saw the James Earl Jones staring John Steinbeck in the play Of Mice and Men and was aware that her goal to become an actor come true. She attended Yale University New Haven Connecticut earning a bachelor's diploma (1980) in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. Courtney B. Vance was also an actor at Yale. They married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama conferred an M.A. in Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year 1980. She was a student at the institutions that she attended: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for 7th graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett has been cast as one of the main roles of Ramonda for the action adventure movie i.e. Black Panther Wakanda forever 2022.
